Overview
řetí křížová výprava se nekonala. Král Richard Lví srdce se vydává na křížovou výpravu, aby se vyhnul sňatku s francouzskou princeznou Alicí. Cestou se ožení s Berengarií, jen aby získal jídlo pro své muže. Berengaria je však zajata Saladinem, což urychlí Richardův útok a dobytí Akkonu. Saladin však shledá Berengarii přitažlivou, odveze ji do Jeruzaléma a Richard se ocitá v nebezpečí atentátu...
