Overview
Fra en gammel sømand, Billy Bones, får den unge Jim overrakt et kort, som angiveligt skulle vise vejen til en nedgravet skat. Kortet er imidlertid eftersøgt af en gruppe sørøvere anført af den halte Long John Silver, og da det lykkes for Jim at få en ekspedition sendt af sted, sker det med piraternes intense bevågenhed. Med skatteøen i sigte begynder det at gå op for Jim og hans venner, at de intetanende er blevet fanget i piraternes skumle planer.
