Waterloo Road
Overview
Waterloo Road is a British television drama series set in a comprehensive school of the same name, first broadcast on BBC One on 9 March 2006, and concluding its original run on 9 March 2015. It was recommissioned in 2021, and resumed starting 9 January 2023. At the failing comprehensive school, and later academy of the same name, the professional and personal lives of the students and staff are examined. Affairs, scandals, blackmail and many, many headteachers. Who said education was easy?

Episode 1
As a new term begins, Jack finds himself depressed over the death of Izzie Redpath, and feels it may be his fault. Elsewhere, a series of new teachers join the school, including Eddie Lawson, the new deputy head.
Episode 2
Matt begins work on the school musical, with Steph helping. However, she soon becomes too involved, neglecting her pastoral care duties.
Episode 3
The school has its first girls' football match. Chlo and Brett grow closer.
Episode 4
Jack decides on the future he wishes to share with Davina. Meanwhile, Chlo finds it hard accept recent mistakes.
Episode 5
News of Chlo and Brett sleeping together travels fast, and Donte is outraged. Elsewhere, Jack is struggling to confess his one-night stand with Steph to Davina.
Episode 6
Waterloo Road is in the spotlight once more when it breaks to local reporters that Chlo is missing. Jack's day worsens when it is discovered that he's been manipulating the school's budget.

The search begins for a new headteacher, and continues for Chlo, who seems to be having some difficulties of her own...
Episode 8
Some of the school's most difficult boys are going on an adventure trip with Eddie, Tom, Davina, and Grantly. Tensions between Chlo, Brett, Donte, and Mika run high.

Mika has some surprising news for Brett. An archaeological dig in the school grounds brings old secrets to the surface.

Rachel decides to bring the school musical forward, creating problems with the staff and pupils involved.
Episode 11
It's the start of the spring term, and Eddie's annoyed with the teachers for not focussing on the children's exam enough. Meanwhile, Brett tries to restore his relationship with Mika.

Davina is shocked when Darren Briggs Sr., whose son is being tutored by her, begins following her around. Elsewhere, Rachel is blackmailed with a dark secret from her past.

A group of students volunteer at local work places, while Tom and Davina take their relationship to the next level.

Jasmine is in shock when she is accused of assulting Michaela, a troublesome student, and faces prosecution.
Episode 15
Matt panics when he finds out his mother is coming to visit, who is unaware he has a boyfriend. Brett and Mika, attempt to convince Eddie and the school to be more environmentally friendly.

It’s supply teacher Wilson Bignham’s last day and the school is sad to see him go, especially Janeece.
Episode 17
Chlo wants Donte back, whilst Mika and Brett take their environmental plans to the next level.
Episode 18
Sameen is terrified when two immigration officers come to the school looking for her, but Rachel is only concerned with protecting her. Meanwhile, Chlo's desperate for her hairdressing to suceed.

Jack Rimmer turns up with an offer for Davina. Will she abandon her life in Rochdale to leave with her old flame?

On the last day of term, a careless act brings about a devastating turn of events for the school…
