Overview
In a place where young witches, vampires, and werewolves are nurtured to be their best selves in spite of their worst impulses, Klaus Mikaelson’s daughter, 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson, Alaric Saltzman’s twins, Lizzie and Josie Saltzman, among others, come of age into heroes and villains at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.

After learning that Malivore has taken over Landon’s body, Hope and the Super Squad come up with a risky plan to rescue Landon, as well as Cleo, who has been absorbed into Malivore’s darkness. Meanwhile, an impromptu date with Finch brings up a subject that Josie is not ready to talk about.
There's No I in Team, or Whatever
Hope has to relinquish control and allow Josie and friends to enact a risky plan that could save Landon; Landon and Cleo meet in Malivore's darkness and learn more about each other; Lizzie, Kaleb and Ethan volunteer together.
We All Knew This Day Was Coming
Hope realizes she has a difficult choice to make, much to Alaric's disapproval; Kaleb and MG come up with their own plan to help Hope; Alaric realizes he needs to relinquish control.

Josie and Lizzie hold out hope in a seemingly dire situation as MG figures out what he can do to help. Meanwhile, Kaleb wants to set things right and turns to Cleo for guidance.

Josie and Lizzie search for answers which leads Lizzie to uncover a dangerous plan. Cleo works on tracking down Hope, who does not want to be found. Hope pays a visit to a familiar face. Meanwhile, Landon gets some clarity and a surprise visitor.

The Super Squad continues to work on helping Hope, much to her dismay. MG makes a last-ditch effort at helping the Super Squad, but things do not go as he had planned. Meanwhile, Lizzie searches for answers as Josie goes to extreme measures.

Hope find herself on a dangerous undertaking. Josie goes deep for answers as Lizzie asks Cleo for inspiration and is surprised as to where she finds it. Meanwhile, Landon continues his mission for peace.

Hope finds herself involved in a game of cat and mouse as Lizzie sets out to make things right. Josie has a heart-to-heart with Finch. Alaric, Landon, and Ted get a surprising result from their quest. Meanwhile, MG, Jed and Cleo handle matters back at The Salvatore School.

Back at the Salvatore School, students are speaking their minds, without knowing why, which makes Jed reveal a secret and Cleo works on protecting one of their own. As Aurora continues her research, she finds information that could prove very useful. Hope commands Lizzie to do things, with surprising results ensuing. Alaric, Landon and Ted work together to devise how to best use their wishes.

The Super Squad rallies together to test their abilities, with help from Vardemus. Hope experiences some vivid dreams, causing some mixed emotions. Meanwhile, Landon continues on his quest for peace.

Hope continues to be swirled in confusion and fighting her humanity, which results in her seeing the people who mean the most to her: Rebekah, Marcel, Kol, and Freya. Kaleb wants to introduce Cleo to his world, including those who had the most profound influence on his path. Meanwhile, Lizzie devises a plan to get in someone's good graces.
