Overview
Három XX. századi történet az afrikai amerikaiak életéből. Az elsőben egy iskolaigazgató egyik diákja feketebőrű Krisztust rajzol a keresztfára. A második történetben egy szegény fekete földművest egy fehér férfival csal meg a felesége, a harmadikban pedig egy sikeres jazzénekesnő emlékszik vissza nyomorúságos gyermekkorára.
